Artifacts are objects, such as a tool or work of art, that are made or shaped by human beings, especially one with historical, cultural, or archaeological interest. The term can also refer to any element or feature of a study or experiment that is not naturally present but results from an extrinsic agent, method, or manipulation, rather than from the actual phenomenon being studied.
